It’s the most frustrating moment in AI art: you finally generate the perfect character, but when you try to change their pose or put them in a new scene, they mutate. Suddenly, their nose is different, their hair style shifts, or their unique outfit is replaced by generic clothes.
Why does this happen? And more importantly, how do you stop it?
Reason 1: Prompt Drift
AI models are sensitive. If you write a 50-word prompt describing your character ("blue eyes, scar on left cheek, leather jacket") and then add 20 words describing the scene ("sitting in a dark cafe, drinking coffee, rain outside"), the AI has to split its attention.
Often, it will "forget" parts of your character description to make room for the scene details. This is called Prompt Drift.

Reason 2: Lack of Visual Anchors
Text is ambiguous. "Cool jacket" means one thing to you and another to the AI. If you rely solely on text prompts, you remain at the mercy of the AI’s random interpretation.
